Berkebile Excavating Company, Inc. was founded by Todd J. Berkebile in 1978. We have been one of the premier excavators and contractors in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

A Seasoned Workforce
We perform 95% of our work in-house. Our workforce averages 15 employees but has fluctuated as high as 32 depending on demand. Our workforce includes seasoned supervision. We are signatory with local Carpenter and Labor unions to provide a skilled workforce.
Specialized Equipment / Technology
We have two GPS machine-controlled dozer setups, along with a GPS survey rover, for doing our own site control layout. For building pad grading we utilize our laser machine control on the equipment. We own and operate our own vacuum truck and offer hydro excavation and vacuum services.
Clean Fill & Recycling
We operate one of the area’s only fully permitted clean fill disposal sites. Our facility recycles soils, concrete, rock, and blacktop into fully usable products.
