Berkebile Excavating was contracted by JC Orr & Sons to perform the following items of work for the Department of General Services for a rehab and building addition at the Friedens Readiness Center, near Somerset, PA. This project is a total rehab and upgrade for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and the PA National Guard.
- Clearing, grubbing, site demolition, site excavation, foundation excavation and backfill, and topsoil replacement.
- E & S controls including a large stormwater management detention basin with bioretention soil mix.
- Storm pipe & inlets, sanitary upgrades and waterline replacement and upgrade with 6” DIP
- Place stone and grade for parking lot and under concrete pavement, sidewalks, curb, and building pads
