Johnstown Construction Services was contracted by Kongsburg Defense Corporation for a unique project. Johnstown Construction subcontracted Berkebile to perform various repairs & upgrades at the Johnstown Fraternal Order of Police Shooting Range in the hills of Johnstown PA.
This project was needed because 3 tour bus loads of foreign dignitaries were in Johnstown for the annual Showcase for Commerce to see Kongsburg’s advanced weaponry systems. Kongsburg worked out the details with the FOP to utilize their shooting range for test firing their product in the showcase. Berkebile performed several items of work for these improvements.
- Tree trimming so the buses could get through.
- Road widening to accommodate the buses.
- Excavation, grading, & clearing of the shooting range facilities.
- Cleaned ditches for storm water conveyance.
- Placed and graded millings in parking lots and roadways to accommodate the guests
